Ariel has a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University. She provides therapy and psychological assessments to individuals of all ages, however specialized in treating adolescents. Ariel has over 12 years of experience in the mental health field and has worked in:
- Court programs & Juvenile detention
- Substance abuse treatment
- Emergency rooms
- Hospitals treating individuals with eating disorders & medical problems
Ariel is passionate about working with and has sought specialized training in:
- Depression and Anxiety
- Eating disorders
- Self-harming behaviors
- Sexually exploited children
- Addictions & substance use issues
- Behaviorally challenging youth
Ariel has a warm, relaxed, and fun outside of the box approach to therapy. She often incorporates activities and alternate evidence-based methods into traditional “talk therapy” to create a more enjoyable and modern approach to treatment.
Primary treatment modalities include: DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), and Collaborative Problem Solving, as well as others based on client needs.
