Krystal has a doctoral degree in clinical & school psychology from James Madison University as well as a master’s degree in education from Harvard University. She completed her clinical internship through the Eastern Virginia Medical School. Krystal specializes in providing comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults. She has worked in the education and/or the mental health field for 8 years.
Her experience includes:

- therapeutic day treatment centers
- college counseling centers
- child development and assessment clinics
- elementary and middle schools
- medical centers.
Krystal is also skilled at providing evidence-based individual psychotherapy to address a wide variety of concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, relationship problems, etc.). She provides a safe and supportive environment for her clients and prides herself on working collaboratively with clients to improve their quality of life and well-being. Krystal incorporates innovative techniques to help clients make sense of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and to help them break out of maladaptive patterns. Clients will leave her sessions with individually-tailored strategies so that progress can continue between sessions. Ultimately, Krystal’s therapy will help uncover the root cause of problems instead of simply “putting out fires.”
